Who Is Daycare Nebraska?
Daycare Nebraska first went on-line in 1999. At first it was quite small and was only promoted using hand written fliers in the Belmont area in Lincoln. It started out as a small group of providers that were simply fed up with the high cost, and poor results of newsprint ads.
It took considerable work,but today we have won the battle.Today, parents with young children grew up in the computer age and turn to the internet more and more everyday to find what they are looking for. Today Daycare Nebraska is a huge site, covering most of the state.
Our business model is simple. Provide a needed service for free and because of the traffic generated advertisers will come and pay the bills for us both. It's a win win for everyone. The provider finally has an alternative to expensive, ineffective newsprint ads. The Parent can find many providers all in one place without having to leave their home. The advertiser also wins by putting their ad in front of a highly targeted audience. We simply would not survive without our advertisers.
Daycare Nebraska is a small family run business that continues to grow everyday. What started out as challenge, has grown into the largest Nebraska owned directory of it's kind. We are always adding something new, so be sure to stay in touch. We sincerely hope we can help you to grow your business.
How It Works
Our data base of providers coincides with the DHHS Licensed Provider data base. We work closely with the DDHS. This means that if you are licensed, you may already have a basic listing on our site. If you are not licensed you will not have an ad without submitting your information here.
Who Can Place Ads?
We accept anyone that is currently active in providing daycare for children. We do not currently accept those providing care for the elderly. You do not have to have a current opening to be listed on our site. However, do let us know if you have a current opening, as we get calls all the time for immediate or emergency care.
We only deny or remove ads if you are not in good standing with DHHS. We understand that you are dealing with people and sometimes there may problems that arise. It is however our policy to deny or remove ads of providers that are not in good standing with the DHHS. If you are denied or your ad is removed you will receive notice from us. You can submit your ad again, once your case or probation period has been resolved.
Full Page Ads
Effective January 1st of 2011 we are going to start giving each provider their own Full Page Ad. On this page you will be able to say as much as you want about your daycare. The page will be divided into three categories: "About Me" "Spend A Day" "Policies" Check out our Example Page if you need some ideas on what to write. You can say as much or as little as you want. Eventually, ads without a web site link or a full page ad will be removed. So be sure to get busy and submit your information soon.
Our site's long time users have requested this change and it will take us several months to complete. This will be a very good selling tool for your business. It's almost like having your own web site, without the high cost. If you do have your own site, we will simply link to it from your basic ad and you won't have to create a page on our site. We are very excited about this new feature and hope that you take full advantage of this service while it's still FREE! We have no intention of ever charging, except if we decide to allow pictures, as space is expensive.
How Much Do Ads Cost?
There is no cost to place an ad on our site. Our site is supported by the advertisers you see throughout the site. These advertisers are paying the bills so you don't have to. It 's a unique way for us to offer you this service for FREE.
Our Newsletter
Occasionally, we send out a newsletter to our providers. Our newsletter keeps you up to date on what's going on in the world of daycare. We pass along information of interest to Daycare Providers like yourself. We keep a close eye on the law makers and work closely with DHSS and will keep you updated on anything that we think you should know about. We also keep a close eye on all of the recalls for you.
Submitting Your Daycare
We ask that you use the form below to submit your information. The information you submit will be used to create your ad. We do not use your personal name in creating your ad, only your business name. You can use your name in your ad if you want, but we do not require it. Your e-mail is required for the full page ad we now offer.
What to Write In My Ad
Your ad will appear exactly as you write it. Please check your spelling and grammar before submitting your information. We also suggest several short paragraphs, like you see here. Our ads have three titles: "About Me" - "Spend A Day" - "Policies". Write as much as you want about each of these titles.If you haven't already done so, view our Example Page for some ideas on what to write. We suggest that you not include your rate, as this should be a private matter. Also, you might just hit on some of your policies, listing all of them may turn people off. It's better that the parent meets you and gets to know you a little before discovering that they have an issue that you might be able to compromise on.
I Already Have A Web Site
Great, you don't have to write an ad. We will link to your site from your basic ad. Just leave the box that ask for your add information blank, but do complete the rest of the form for your basic ad.
What We Need
It's pretty straight forward, just complete the form below. In the " Full Page Info" Box at the bottom of the form is where you want to insert the content for your full page ad. It is your choice, you can type it in now or create your ad in another program and just use the copy/paste method to submit your information. While we do not limit how much you can say, try not to be terribly long or repetitive.
